IIT JEE-2019

JEE Main 2019 – NTA has released the application form of JEE Main 2019 April session on February 8.

The last date to fill JEE Main application (April session) is March 7, 2019 while uploading of images and payment of application fee can be done till March 8.

JEE Main 2019 April session will be conducted between April 7 to 20 in computer based mode. The admit card of JEE Main 2019 will be available from March 20.

The authorities will release the result of JEE Main 2019 April session on April 30 (Paper 1) and May 15 (Paper 2).

Previously, the January session of  JEE Main 2019 was held from January 8 to 12.

Registrations for the January session were from September 1 till October 1, 2018.

The result of JEE Main 2019 January Paper I was announced on January 19 while the Paper 2 result was released on January 31.

A total of 9,29,198 candidates had registered for Paper-I and 1,80,052 candidates had registered for Paper- 2 of January session


The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) 2019 twice in a year for undergraduate engineering admissions into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.

JEE Main 2019 for January has been concluded however it will be conducted again as a computer-based test from April 6 to 20 again.

JEE Main applications for the April exam will be available from February 8th to March 7th. There will be no change in the syllabus, exam pattern, fee or language of the exam

Age Limit

There is no age limit.

Qualifying Exam

The candidates should have qualified 12th standard (or equivalent) examination in 2017 or 2018 or must be appearing in 2019.

12th Standard Qualifying Marks

Candidates should have just qualified their 12th standard examination.

Number of Subjects in Qualifying Exam

5 subjects including the following:

  • Language
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject
  • Any other subject

Number of Attempts

Twice a year. Candidates can attempt for three consecutive years @ two per year.

For admissions into IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs

Candidates should have secured minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST category candidates) or should be in the top 20 percentile of their respective boards

For Paper II (B.Arch) – The candidates should have completed the 10+2th standard exam with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and in aggregate in class 12 or equivalent.

Eligibility for Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Haryana and Uttarakhand

Candidates who appeared for the January session must register using their January credentials to ensure that their scores (January) are considered.

Payment of application fee  and uploading of photo and signature can be done till March 8, 2019.
